CO-LAB was founded in 2010 by Joshua Beck and Joana Gomes and now has offices in Tulum, Mexico and Los Angeles. The firm offers a full range of professional design services, including residential, cultural, hospitality, commercial, master planning, exhibition, product development, graphic design and project development.
为了保留和解决现有树群与建筑的关系，CO-LAB为这座三居室的住宅设计了恰当的拱形开口，并使内外空间产生了流畅的过渡。位于一楼的开放生活区通过大型的拱形转轴窗与游泳池相连，为热带花园所环绕的建筑创造了一定的隐私性，同时为内部的所有房间提供了郁郁葱葱的自然背景。
In order to preserve and resolve the relationship between the existing tree group and the building, CO-LAB designed the three-bedroom house with appropriate arched openings and smooth transitions between interior and exterior Spaces. The open living area on the ground floor is connected to the swimming pool by large arched shaft Windows, creating a degree of privacy for the building surrounded by tropical gardens, while providing a lush natural backdrop for all rooms inside.
拱形的形式令住宅具备了一个连续的外表面，阳光倾洒于亮面的水泥室内，展示了材料的自然肌理，也体现了当地工匠令人敬佩的手工艺术。天窗为所有的室内空间带来充足的自然采光和通风，并通过光影的渲染强调了大自然的存在。经过建筑内部饰面的精心处理，营造出宁静、祥和、温润的室内氛围。
The vaulted form gives the house a continuous exterior, with sunlight pouring into the brightened concrete interior, showcasing the natural texture of the material and the admirable craftsmanship of the local artisans. Skylights provide ample natural light and ventilation to all interior Spaces, and emphasize the presence of nature through the rendering of light and shadow. The interior finishes of the building are carefully treated to create a quiet, peaceful and warm interior atmosphere.
雨天的时候，干燥的土壤与雨水不期而遇，使其散发出泥土的气息，唤起大自然的自我觉醒以及自我更新，让新的生命种子得以生发、萌芽、成长。也正是受此启发，Petricor别墅在设计的构思中，期望与场地自然能够产生完美的连接，最终创造出舒适的、耳目一新的、令人迷恋的居住环境。
When it rains, the dry soil meets the rain, which gives off the smell of earth, evoking nature's self-awakening and self-renewal, allowing new seeds of life to sprout, sprout and grow. With this in mind, Petricor Villa was conceived to create a perfect connection with the nature of the site, ultimately creating a comfortable, refreshing and captivating living environment.
