KAMT 公寓在功能需求与美学之间取得了完美的平衡，年代感的氛围将空间中的时间霎然静止，仿佛与外面繁嚣的都市生活形成了强烈的对比。我们通过了解屋主的生活作息与储物需求，重新为这间复式公寓打造了功能分布清晰的区域，透过温暖的中性色调，塑造柔和而优雅的平静美感。公寓设有两层，分别位于十四楼至十五楼，每层面积约有 600 平方呎，单位在三十年前已将楼层相通，而我们亦在没有改动整体楼层的结构下规划出公共及私人区域。
KAMT is a Mid-Century Revival of a 2 storey apartment in Hong Kong, currently home to a family of three and their pet cat. With plans to return to Hong Kong, the owners decided that the home was no longer fitting of their new acquired lifestyle and was in need of a revamp; a calm environment, storage, open plan living spaces, and an improved connection with the surrounding landscape. With this in mind, we set out to amplify the client’s eccentricities, combining a love of historic art and design with a modern sensibility.
第一层为公共区域，包括起居室、开放式厨房、客人及佣人的卧室。为配合屋主喜欢招待好友到家中相聚详谈，开放式厨房中放置了可同时容纳十五人的长桌，亦在窗台的位置进行加阔，建立地柜，在柜上放上坐垫方便客人安坐。建立 L 型的开放式厨柜除了可赋予屋主偌大的储物空间外，亦为厨房增加了更多的活动空间。
KAMT is a one-bedroom apartment composed of two separate units, each sized at 600 sq. ft. We worked with the original plan of the home, shuffling the order of functions across two floors according to the degree of privacy required. The public functions, such as the open kitchen, living room, guest bedroom, and bathroom are placed on the lower level of the home. The couple loves to entertain and would often have friends and families over for gatherings. A long dining table cements the role of the kitchen as the anchor of the home, with a length that can accommodate up to 15 guests at a time. While serving as storage units, the custom L-shaped cupboards and shelving also create a sense of openness in the space and gift the opportunity to display prized possessions.
此外，客厅位置亦摆放了屋主收藏的音响设备，配上柔和的灯光，为屋主及客人亦带来了舒适的体验。沿着旋转楼梯走到上层，则是屋主与妻子人的私人空间，包括了主卧室、书房及梳妆间。男屋主除了日常与朋友相聚之外，亦重视私人空间，希望能享受个人阅读的时间，书桌前方面向着层峦叠嶂的山脉，书房的光线随着日照而变化，增加了屋主的视觉享受。同时女屋主亦备有私人的空间，我们在主卧室旁以高度至天花的衣柜分隔出梳妆区域，供女屋主配搭衣服及整理每日仪容。
The living room lends to a more casual, relaxed setting, where loose furnishings are laid out to create private nooks throughout the home. This space also shares a cosy window seat, offering added storage and a comfortable place for intimate gatherings.

The home opens out to the natural environment, taking in the ridges of mountains that surround the home.
整个项目较具挑战的地方在于如何整合屋主收纳在家中的近万本藏书及物件。为了不让空间失去秩序感，我们在第一层的窗边由左至右沿着两扇窗户使用了防火板物料加阔了窗台的阔度，并设计了落地书柜及矮柜组合，让空间看起来更开阔而自然。
The most challenging part of the project was to integrate the owners’ collection of nearly 10,000 books and personal belongings. To ensure that the home remained clutter free, we introduced storage units wherever possible. In the living room, ceiling height bookshelves are placed where pre-existing structural columns stand, whereas, on the upper floor, bookshelves line the corridor and study, placing the enormous collection on display in a clean and orderly fashion while ensuring that visitors do not feel overwhelmed. Glass doors separate the study from the rest of the home, putting a break on the stretch of bookshelves throughout the home and reducing visual clutter.
第二层我们先在旋转楼梯廊道上建立 L 字型排列的入墙式书柜，除了善用空间之余，亦可以作完美收纳。近书房位置，透过落地玻璃门作分隔，以书柜作为连接书房的媒介，减少一字排开的收纳书柜排列，整体视觉上更清晰，将整个廊道打造成一处藏书室。同时为了增加上层空间的储物量，我们创建了近八米长的衣柜作收纳空间，分别分布在主卧室及梳妆间。
Linking the two levels of the home is a spiral staircase, connecting the owners to the more private part of the home, the master bedroom, bathroom, study, and dressing room. In addition to the kitchen, the male homeowner had put in a request for a calm, dimly lit study, an environment in which he feels most comfortable working. The room opens out to the natural environment, taking in the ridges of mountains that surround the home.

The space now hosts a selection of bespoke wooden furniture and unique mid-century finds, threading together a retro, contemporary aesthetic.
在颜色及家具配搭上，我们希望能彰显出屋主对中古世纪中永恒美学的格调，因此全间公寓主要以米燕麦色的墙身涂料、暖黄色系的定制家具组合作为配搭，衬托屋主精心挑选的物件与家具，包括传统手工艺制成的木柜、藤椅、沙发、音响等，每一件物件所呈现的，是细致入微的质感，勾勒出那种年代韵味。
A section of the master bedroom has also been sectioned out to create some level of privacy for the female homeowner; using ceiling height wardrobes to frame a dressing room where she can get ready.
此外整间公寓，我们都没有特别配上强烈光源的灯具，反而挑选了较柔和的暖光壁灯、桌灯、吊灯，令空间的光线较分散，配以遮光窗帘，不论黑夜或白天，空间亦能呈现出微明、泛黄的氛围，在家工作及聚会亦倍感放松自如。
Suited to the modern dweller, the refit favours light timber flooring and oatmeal toned walls, complemented by high ceilings and an absence of dividing internal walls. We opted for a relaxed tonal material selection to allow for the craftsmanship and architectural elements to shine with the home. The space now hosts a selection of bespoke wooden furniture and unique mid-century finds, threading together a retro, contemporary aesthetic. Warm lighting is used throughout the home, relying on floor lamps, table lamps, pendant lights, and tailored openings to bring light into the home. The owners requested a soft, warm environment, which would make the space feel more natural and relaxing.
