A secluded and unhurried hospitality experience unfolds within a centuries-old French estate.

In 2017 we first visited the project site that immediately captured our attention due to its vast potential. Despite being left abandoned and neglected for a long period, we saw an opportunity to transform the group of buildings into a hospitality destination. Originally designed as a private residence with adjoining studio and exhibition space, the buildings and outdoor spaces were relatively closed off from the surrounding environment.

The real magic of this Provence property is theundisturbed views of the long stretched wine fields，trees，and mountains that are visible fromevery corner. with actual peace and quiet enveloping the property,it offers a serene escapefrom the bustle of everyday life. we took a thoughtful approach to transform the property ,making interventions in the terrain，enlarging thefacade openings,and creating additional connections between the buildings to furtherintegrate it with the surrounding landscape. weremoved garden walls to increase the relationshipwith the vineyards，ensuring that every corner ofthe property was immersed in the beauty of its surroundings. we crafted large concrete volumes tocreate terraces and intimate coveys，adding smallpathways and hidden connections between indoor andoutdoor spaces to create a sense of intrigue and aunique circulation experience .

In addition to refurbishing the existing stuctures, we infused new elements of modernarchitecture into the landscape : the entrance building and the pool house. Both structures boastunique staircases that connect them seamlessly tothe existing buildings. we also reimagined thelower buildings to create a dynamic terrace areathat surrounds a stunning 16-meter-long pool. wehave further adorned the terraces and courtyardwith awnings and a wooden canopy. These additionshave not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal butalso provide a comfortable retreat for the residents.

The property is nestled on a sloping terrain. The entrance and parking areas are situated atthe highest point. As a first time visitor， it may be difficultto discern the scale and layout at glance. To address this， wehave carefully designed an entrance pavilion that creates asense of intrigue and discovery. with limited windows，thepavilion offers a somewhat closed-off atmosphere that enticesvisitors to explore further. Materially we blended local plaster techniques on the exterior with warm，inviting woodpaneling on the interior .
项目的总体概念是重现一个法国庄园民宿，三座客房通过一系列小径相连，营造出一种旅行和发现的感觉。这三座客房分别被命名为“Àme”、“Île”和“Tour”，其中“Àme”最小，“Tour”最大，一共可以容纳13名成年人入住。
The overarching concept of the project was to recreate a French village, where the trio of guest houses are connected via a series of pathways, evoking a sense of journey and discovery. Together, ‘Àme’, ‘Île’ and ‘Tour’, as they’re named – Àme being the smallest and Tour being the largest – can accommodate 13 adults.

These communal spaces are essentialfor fully experiencing the project and enjoying thebeauty of each season. Imagine snuggling up by thelarge fireplace on chilly winter nights or cookingwith a panoramic view of the vineyards during theoff-season. We always consider various scenarioswhen designing our spaces. we ensure that the unityand reciprocity of materials create a cohesive effect that binds the different buildings together.our goal is to create an environment where everydetail is carefully considered，and every space isdesigned with intention to provide you with a unique and memorable experience.
起居室配有Sergio Rodrigues Diz躺椅、Vetsak沙发和Bea Mombaers为Serax设计的地毯。
墙上挂着的是勒·柯布西耶（Le Corbusier）设计的Nemo Applique de Marseille作品。

The foundation of the materialization lies in theconcrete outer shell，from which the main pillarsemerge in a striking display of sand-coloured castfloors，white grey flagstone，brown oak veneer,white lacquered brushed wood，concrete bespokesinks and baths，and linen window upholstery. Theonyx kitchen worktop adds a touch of elegance tothe space，completing the harmonious composition ofsoft tones and materials. While we aim for a cohesive and subdued aesthetic, we also understandthe importance of breaking up the monotony withfurniture and art pieces.

Building Tour includes three sleeping quarters，a communal kitchen and a terrace. As the name suggests,this building refers to verticality. The highest room provides an unparalleled vantage point to soak in thepicturesque landscape. Building Ile，on the other hand,is a central hub that connects the courtyard and theswimming pool. During the renovation process，we tookgreat care to preserve the existing wooden ceilings andtheir unique patina，which imbues the space with a sense of history and character. The thick round beamsare a testament to the building 's durability and provide the spacious rooms with a strong identity. wemade sure to employ a 'conservation strategy ' throughout the renovation，which led to the preservation of other original features such as theconcrete ceilings and existing wooden windows.
